Chris and I purchased a pressure cooker/steamer yesterday. We made yummy vegatable soup, 16 pints! It was an all day process, but will be worth it.

OTR 2009
Posted by Deborah in Uncategorized on September 7th, 2009
Had a great time at OTR. It was my second time there. The first time I didn’t do very well and ended up going home early. This time I had a blast and stayed the entire time. Go to cboyer.net for details.

Cute bag that only took a day to make. This is also my first felted item.

Simple Cabled Scarf
This came out nice. It was my first attempt at cables in a scarf. I used a short DPN instead of a cable needle, which worked fine.

Garden Bounty
Here is what was picked today. Our garden wasn’t the best this year, but we still got something out of it!
I also picked a ton of basil today, plan to make pesto and freeze it.

Cherry Garcia
Mom, this is the thing I was trying to knit at the beach. I had to buy a 16 inch circular needle for this. It’s kind of weird looking, but it keeps your neck warm!

Hibiscus
My hibiscus is doing well.

New Back Porch
It’s nice to have another way out of the house! Thanks Chris and Doug!

Topsail Island, NC trip
Recently went to the beach with my parents and Alice. Had a great time. Here are some pics.

Doing some weird hand thing.

Another weird hand pose.

High Tide

Three girls at the beach. I look like a ghost compared to my Mom.

Me, Dad, and Alice

On the porch after swimming in the ocean.

Mom and Dad relaxing at the beach house. I think my Mom is knitting here.

Cool little bog islands. I've never seen anything quite like them before.
