Very good recipes from RR

This week I was so glad to be cooking again after 1 week of being away and eating out all the time. I purchased RR 365 No Repeats while away and I made a few of the recipes this week. I made Big Bird Burgers (no, not the fluffly yellow one from SS) , Nacho Bread Pizza, Salsa Stoup and Quesadillas. Overall, I think the burgers were the best, followed by the stoup and quesadillas. I recommend this book!

Reunion

Hmmmm, the mean girls post made me think about my 10 year high school reunion for some odd reason. Hehe. On a scale of “1-10″, I give it a weak “3″. Sure, I saw a few people I wanted to and it was nice catching up with them. The majority of the class was not there. And of course, the people I could care less if I EVER saw again were there. I guess most people had changed in physical appearance. Some, however, looked exactly the same (which was a little creepy). I’m talking the same haircut and everything! Looking back on it, high school was just a very small stepping stone in life. I’m not sure if I’ll attend my next reunion, but maybe it will be more interesting (balding men, fatter women). I guess I’m now a mean girl :)

Mean Girls

Last night I caught a glimpse of the “mean girls” report on Primetime. Well, the bullying and teasing are still going on but now it is even worse because these little twirps are using the internet (myspace, facebook) and cell phones (text messaging) to harass peers. It can get VERY ugly. I’m not sure what it’s going to take to decrease this problem, but kids are dying over it. It’s very sad.
