I found out that Cassis likes yogurt

Drawstring Bag

I feel like I’ve been working on this forever! Although not perfect, the drawstring does work.

I used fabric from an old pillowcase to line it. I sewed buttons on the fabric to hold the lining in place (a trick I found online).

This Year’s Garden

I originally planted the garden the first weekend of May. Yesterday, Chris and I rearranged it to make it more manageable. We also added some pots. We have 4 tomato, 1 cucumber, 1 Nasturtium, thyme, rosemary, basil, lettuce, and green onions in the garden. In the pots there are dill, jalapeno peppers, parsley, and chives.

New Jeep

We are really enjoying the new Jeep! Here we are on a country road. It took a few minutes to take top off,  but the ride was fun (and dusty)!

Red Bean and Lager Chili

This was very good. It will probably be even better tomorrow.

Knitting

I have been knitting like crazy! Scarves….a person can probably have too many so I’ve decided to try other articles of clothing.

I recently purchased a Knifty Knitter to make hats. It’s really easy. You can make other things with it too.

Eventually, I am going to try to knit other things as well.

Curious Cassis

Cassis was excited to see that a small bag of catnip was included in the latest toy. We already have a big jar of catnip so we threw the little bag away. Cassis apparently found it in the trash and placed it on the couch. Here are some picks of the mess he made as well as the cleanup.

My First (Presentable) Knitted “Thing”

After many knitting “trials”, I finally knitted a square thing that I plan on placing hot plates on or something. I am going to try a scarf again next.

Flowers from Cats and Chris

I got surprised at work on Valentines Day with this beautiful arrangement. The card says it’s from Hogan, Zoe, Cassis, and oh…Chris.

Great Pasta Bake

I made this tonight and it reminds me of the Rigatoni I get at Muriale’s.

I used store bought spaghetti sauce instead of making the marinara. I also doubled the recipe so we would have plenty of left overs.
